About the Journal / Aim & Scope

Journal of Yoga, Leadership and Management Studies (JYLMS) is an independent, peer-reviewed online journal devoted to advancing scholarship and professional practice at the intersection of yoga, leadership and management.

The journal aims to build a bridge between traditional yogic knowledge and contemporary theories of leadership, human resource development, organizational behaviour, and workplace wellbeing. JYLMS encourages contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, yoga professionals and management consultants.

The core scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, conceptual papers, case studies and reflective practice reports relevant to its scope.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Yoga, Leadership and Management Studies welcomes original, unpublished work that is not under review elsewhere. Submissions may be research articles, review papers, conceptual papers, case studies or practice-based reports.

Manuscripts should be emailed to the Editor-in-Chief at the contact email provided below. All submissions undergo a review process before a publication decision is made.

Review & Publication Policies

Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts are first screened by the Editor-in-Chief for relevance to the aims and scope of the Journal of Yoga, Leadership and Management Studies. Manuscripts that meet the basic criteria are sent to at least one or two reviewers with expertise in the subject area. The journal currently follows a single-blind peer review process, where reviewers are anonymous to authors, but reviewers may see author details. Based on reviewers’ comments, the editorial team may accept the paper, request revisions, or reject the submission. The final decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Plagiarism Policy

The journal adheres to the UGC and COPE guidelines on ethical writing and plagiarism. Authors must ensure that their work is original and that any material taken from other sources is properly cited and quoted. Manuscripts are liable to be checked using plagiarism detection tools. Submissions with significant similarity, self-plagiarism, or unethical practices may be rejected or withdrawn at any stage of the review or publication process.

Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to follow accepted standards of research and publication ethics. This includes obtaining appropriate permissions (where applicable), ensuring accuracy of data and interpretations, and clearly disclosing any potential conflicts of interest. All co-authors should have made a significant contribution to the work. The journal does not accept manuscripts that have been published elsewhere or are under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

Retraction and Corrections

If serious errors, ethical issues, or misconduct are identified in a published article, the journal reserves the right to publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in line with standard academic publishing practices.
